Soap star leads the line-up for Marine Hall’s pantoPublished Thursday, 09 July 2015
Soap opera star Chris Simmons will be heading up the cast of this year's Christmas pantomime at Marine Hall.
Chris, who is best known for pounding the beat on ITV's The Bill for 10 years will be playing the part of the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz when it comes to Fleetwood on 10 – 13 December.
The actor, who grew up in Gravesend, Kent, made his name as DC Mickey Webb on The Bill, but he has also appeared in EastEnders and in CBBC's Tracy Beaker. He says “I'm delighted to be in the Marine Hall Christmas panto this year, it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun!"
The Wizard of Oz is brought to you by Trio Entertainment, the same team behind the recent much loved pantomimes at Marine Hall including Cinderella (2014), Snow White (2013) and Aladdin (2012).
Bring all the family and join Dorothy as she befriends a brainless scarecrow, a loveable tin man and the cowardly lion on their quest to thwart the evil powers of the wicked witch of the west. With a little help from Glinda the good fairy and the almighty and powerful wizard of Oz, good is sure to conquer evil.
This Christmas treat is fun for all ages from 2 to 102! Packed with great songs, brilliant dance routines and plenty of laughter, it’s going to be the best value family-friendly pantomime in town.
Tickets are out now and are just £8.50. Taking place from 10 -13 December, there are different show times each day, including special viewings for schools. To find out times and to book tickets visit www.marinehall.co.uk or call the box office on 01253 887693.
