Memorial Park in Fleetwood received a comprehensive restoration thanks to £2.4m funding from the Heritage and Big Lottery funds. Essential conservation work has been carried out including restoration of the war memorial, entrances, pond, pathways and pavilion; we've created a greater range of sports and play facilities including a multi-use games area and Parkour equipment in addition to the traditional bowling greens and tennis courts.
Theres a programme of events and activities running alongside. Try one of our family craft afternoons or Xplorer navigation challenges
Visit the tranquil rose garden, pick up tips for your yard at our gardening club sessions and even hire the pavilion for that next party or meeting!
Our Friends of Memorial Park volunteers help to develop the grounds and meet regularly to plan events and fund raising activities. Check out Wyre Councils Facebook page and the pavilion notice board for meeting dates and information about activities and events.

Did you know?
After the First World War the Fleetwood Heroes’ committee decided to create the park as a living memorial. Children related to the fallen of the town helped plant the first trees on the avenue on Armistice Day November 1925.
