Local restrictions support grant

Local Restrictions Support Grant (LRSG)

Update 14 January 2021: Top-up grants

The government has announced one off top-up grants to closed businesses as follows:

  • £4,000 for businesses with a rateable value of £15,000 or under
  • £6,000 for businesses with a rateable value between £15,000 and £51,000
  • £9,000 for businesses with a rateable value of over £51,000.

A further £594 million is also being made available for local authorities and the devolved administrations to support other businesses not eligible for the grants that might be affected by the restrictions.

Detailed guidance for these grants was published 13 January 2021 and we are currently working our way through this.

If your business was forced to remain closed after 2 December 2020, or it has been forced to close again from 31 December 2020 due to the Tier 4 restrictions and you have already applied for and received a grant payment under the LRSG (closed) or LRSG (closed) addendum scheme, you do not need to submit another application. We have your details and will make an additional grant payment as soon as we can. Payments are due to commence w/c 18 January.

So that we can concentrate on processing these payments we have taken the decision to pause the application process for some of current grant schemes. They will reopen on 18 January 2021. There is a high volume of grants to process and we ask for your patience as we undertake this technical work.

The Local Restrictions Support Grant (LRSG) is payable to local businesses based on the level and duration of restrictions imposed in Wyre under additional, tier or national restrictions/lockdown as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The criteria and amounts will vary based on the level of restrictions and their duration as well as the size of the business and whether or not you were forced to close.
