Wyre countryside service

Wyre Council, through its countryside service is committed to both the development of an attractive and accessible countryside for all its users, as well as the conservation of its varied landscape and features. It operates a full time and volunteer countryside ranger service throughout Wyre and undertakes a wide variety of countryside management projects in partnership with farmers, landowners and the local community. Projects include pond, tree and hedgerow schemes, as well as the creation of new access areas, footpath improvements and signing. Our volunteers are very knowledgeable and luckily, they are happiest when sharing their knowledge. You'll find them around the site, giving guided walks, doing 'show and tell' activities and generally being helpful!
