Our work in the community

Our work with schools and community groups

We are committed to lifelong learning for all; we believe everyone should leave knowing something they didn't when they arrived! We have lots of experience in delivering environmental education, so you can relax and trust the experts. All our programmes link to the national curriculum where possible. Would you like to bring your community group to the park for a guided walk or organised activity such as mini-beast hunt? Sessions can be tailored to suit your requirements, simply drop us a line to get the ball rolling!

Volunteers

There are many different ways to get involved. You can volunteer for an afternoon or a whole year. Joining our volunteer service could see you working across a varied number of areas in Wyre's diverse landscape. You could find yourself carrying out conservation work throughout the area on a weekly or occasional basis, you could help put up a stiles or gates, dig ditches or cut back vegetation. Walk leaders make a valuable contribution towards the work that we do too. If this sounds like something you'd like to get involved with then find out more about how to apply

Friends of the Wyre Estuary Country Park

We're also interested in talking to anyone who holds the park dear to their hearts. If you have a great idea for the park then perhaps you should consider joining the group.
