A585 Windy Harbour to Skippool improvements
Highways England (HE) are looking at long-term improvements to the A585 between Windy Harbour and Skippool Junction. A newsletter has been produced which aims to make the public aware of the objectives of this scheme, what you can expect in the coming months and how you can have your say.
A six week public consultation was held between 5 September and 17 October 2016 on the proposals for the scheme.
HE have considered the responses to the consultation as well as undertaking traffic modelling and environmental studies. A ‘preferred route announcement’ leaflet has been produced which gives details of the chosen route, alongside a map highlighting its path and what will happen next.
On the 9th April 2020 the A585 Development Consent Order was granted by the Secretary of State. Further details on the Order, the Secretary of State Decision Letter, Recommendation Report and Notification of decision letter can be found on the Planning Inspectorate website
More information about the project, including the full public consultation report, is available on the Highways England website.
