Finding supported accommodation for young people

For many young people, living alone is not always the best option. In Wyre there are two supported housing options for young people.

Supported Lodgings

Supported Lodgings is a scheme that offers homeless young people accommodation in a home  environment. Accommodation is provided in the homes of providers throughout the Wyre area.

Supported Accommodation

Supported accommodation is available for single homeless young people aged16-25 and families with dependent children. 24-hour staff cover is provided by the YMCA. Staff work to support you to develop independent living skills and to successfully maintain a tenancy.

If, having tried the above options you are still experiencing housing difficulties, please contact the Housing Options team who will do their best to help you. Please do not ignore the problem. In most cases help will be available. If you think you may become homeless, contact the Housing Options team for assistance. If all else fails and you don't have a bed to sleep in for the night, hotel accommodation out of this area might be your only option.
