Wyre 'Call for Sites'
To assist with the future planning of the borough, Wyre Council carried out two separate ‘Call for Sites’ exercises in 2012 and 2014 in which the public, landowners and other interested parties were invited to identify land or premises that could be suitable for a variety of uses including residential, , employment, retail, and leisure.
A list of sites which were put forward is now available to view. Please note, some submissions have been withdrawn at the request of the consultee and will not appear on the list. An interactive map which shows the sites is also available.
These sites form part of the evidence base the Council is using to draw up its new Local Plan. It is important to note that submitted sites will not necessarily be allocated in the Local Plan or that, if allocated, the boundaries will remain the same. Please also note that the Council may allocate land not submitted through the Call for Sites process. No decision has been made on which of the identified sites will be taken forward as allocations in the Local Plan. The decision on land allocations will be influenced by continuing work on the Local Plan evidence base.
Please note that until such time as any site is formally allocated, any submissions will have no weight as a material planning consideration in the determination of planning applications.
