Penalty charge notice
Wyre Council is the enforcement authority for off-street parking in the Wyre area.
Parking tickets/parking fines are known as penalty charge notices (PCNs), and they are processed by Lancashire Parking Services.
If you wish to challenge a PCN, please follow the advice provided by Lancashire Parking Services.
PATROL can provide you with information if you receive a PCN.
Pay a Penalty charge notice
You make the payment to Lancashire County Council, and you will need your vehicle registration number (VRM) and penalty charge notice (PCN).
You can use their online payment facility or you can pay over the phone by calling: 0344 826 6593.
They do not accept American Express.
Ten minute grace period
Wyre Council operates a policy which allows a 10 minute grace period (15 minutes for blue badge holders in marked disabled bays) before a penalty charge notice is issued. This prevents charges being made for being just a few minutes late back to the vehicle.
The grace period will apply only to vehicles parked correctly on any of the council's car parks.
Vehicles parked incorrectly (for example, in disabled bays without displaying a blue badge) will continue to receive instant PCNs with no grace period.
