Test and trace QR code posters and the app - guidance for businesses and venues
Since 24 September 2020 certain venues, including those run by local authorities, are legally required to display NHS QR posters. This includes all venues in the following sectors:
- hospitality
- leisure and tourism
- close contact services
- local authority venues
The full list of venues can be read here.
For qualifying venues, if a visitor chooses to check-in using the official NHS QR code, they will not need to provide their contact details by any other method. However, you will still need to offer a manual option for recording visitors' contact details, for people who wont or cant scan the QR code.
