Who can get the COVID-19 vaccine?
All people over 5 or over can now be vaccinated against COVID-19.
You can book your COVID-19 vaccination appointments online. If you were contacted but have not booked your appointments, you can still book your appointments any time
In England, the vaccine is being offered in some hospitals and pharmacies, at hundreds of local vaccination centres run by GPs and at larger vaccination centres. You can also register with a GP if you do not have one.
You can also book your vaccine and find details of local drop in clinics on the Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria website
Vaccination at Home Service
Those who need it can now get a COVID-19 vaccine from the comfort of their own home. Lancashire and South Cumbria Vaccination Programme has launched a new initiative allowing anyone who is shielding or doesn’t feel comfortable using the existing vaccine services to book to be vaccinated at home. For more information and to register, visit the website.
Vaccinations for children and young people
Children aged over 5 are now eligible for the vaccine. Visit the NHS website for more details and how to book an appointment.
The regular booster is available to every adult over 16 who has had a second dose of the vaccine at least three months ago. The NHS booking system can be used for these younger age groups. We can also offer 12-15 year olds first and second doses.
