Colm Healy and Jenni Brophy from the Economic Development team will act as enterprise advisors, supporting local schools to encourage the promotion of preparing the students for a “working life”. Colm will be working with Hodgson Academy and Jenni will be working with Cardinal Allen Catholic High School. The aim is to work alongside teachers, careers advisors and headteachers to encourage students to think ahead for the future.
The team will be getting involved in a number of tasks, including; CV writing, work experience and mock job interviews with the students. They are also hoping to shed a new light on working within local councils because, apparently, school children think that council jobs are boring!
