Fleetwood Mini Golf Opportunity
Wyre Council is currently seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from potential golf operators.
The Esplanade, Fleetwood is home to two pitch and putt courses which fell out of use a few years ago. Wyre Council is now proposing to bring the courses back into use to provide a sports and leisure opportunity for locals and visitors alike.
The courses are well located with The Esplanade on one side and the promenade and beach on the other. There is ample free parking in the area and the location is also close to local bus routes. There are a number of café kiosks and public toilets in the vicinity.
Interested parties should write to us by 30th September 2024 with:
- A business plan setting out their proposal for the land including the proposed rent to be paid to Wyre Council.
- Some indicative plans showing the layout of the proposal.
- Summary details of their experience.
In evaluating offers, particular consideration will be given to the following:
- Previous experience in the golf sector.
- Environmental proposals for the land to protect and encourage wildlife alongside the golf operation.
- Sustainability plans.
- Loyalty offers for local people and other community initiatives.
- Social value e.g. employment opportunities for locals.
Lease Offer
The land is to be offered on a leasehold basis (the term is negotiable). Any capital expenditure on creating the facility will sit with the ingoing tenant who will also be fully responsible for the management and maintenance of the site for the duration of the lease.
