Election for Warren Ward (postponed from 4 May)

The election for the Warren Ward of Wyre Council due to take place on Thursday 4 May 2023 has been rearranged following the sad death of a candidate. The revised notice of election for Warren Ward, the notice of election agents for Warren Ward and the statement for persons nominated for Warren Ward can be read below:

Candidate nominations have now reopened for a set period once the new date is announced. All other previous candidates remain validly nominated and will be included on the ballot paper.

Anyone wanting to submit a new nomination can email Debra.thornton@wyre.gov.uk or Joanne.billington@wyre.gov.uk  for a nomination pack.

Voting

If an election is required this will take place on 22 June 2023 and new poll cards will be sent to all affected voters.  Postal voters will be sent a new postal vote.

If you haven't already registered then register to vote before 5pm on Tuesday 6 June.

Voter ID

For the first time, residents in Wyre will need to show photographic ID to vote at this year’s local elections and are being urged to make sure they are ready to vote by checking they have an accepted form of ID.

Apply for a Voter ID certificate before 5pm on Wednesday 14 June.
