Wyre Council

Rossall Seawall improvement scheme

Rossall Seawall

Community Pledge Form

The people of Fleetwood have been asked to pledge their support for a multi million pound sea defences improvement project. Wyre Council is bidding for £55 million from central government to replace the sea defences from Rossall Hospital to Rossall Point.

The closing date for the community pledge was 24 October 2012.

We would like to thank the Fleetwood Town Council, Fleetwood Town Football Club and all the residents and businesses who completed a pledge of support.

Partnership Funding pledge of support

The next stage of the process is to secure funding from private and third sector organisations that are set to benefit from the scheme. National policy dictates that the cost of reducing flooding and coastal erosion risk must be shared between national and local sources, to give local communities a greater stake in what happens in their areas and reduce the financial burden on the public sector.

A Partnership Fund has been established and as a local business or third sector organisation we ask you to complete a Rossall Seawall improvement scheme Partnership Funding pledge of support
