Local Teenagers star in local pantomime AladdinPublished Monday, 10 December 2018
Taking place every night from Tuesday 18th to Saturday 22nd December at 7.30pm and a 2pm matinee on Saturday.
Award winning Theatre Company Nogal Productions are coming to Thornton Little Theatre this Christmas with their production of 'Aladdin' and taking the leads are local youngsters from Thornton and Preston.
Aladdin is poor and works for his mother in her laundry in Peking along with his brother Wishee Washee. Aladdin dreams of being rich so that his family can have a better life. When one day he meets the beautiful Princess Baldroubador he is more determined than ever to find enough money to marry her.
His chance comes when he meets his lost Uncle Abanazer who tells him that if he helps him to find a magic lamp hidden in a cave in the mountains he will make him a millionaire.
Will Aladdin help his uncle? Will he find the lamp? Will he marry his Princess? All these questions
will be answered in this fantastic family friendly pantomime. With an amazing cast, brilliant costumes, fabulous music and lots of hilarious moments, this show will have you singing along and cheering for the goodies and booing the baddie.
Aladdin is played by 17 year old Harrison Bury. Harrison has been with the company since the age of 8 when he played 'Oliver'. The Princess is played by 16 year old Izzy Duffy who has been with the company just over a year. 15 year old Bo Duffy is playing Aladdin's younger brother Wishee Washee. The show is a traditional family pantomime with lots of fun and catchy songs for the audience to enjoy.
