Free mental health online resource for Wyre residentsPublished Wednesday, 27 June 2018
The Big White Wall is an online mental health resource that Fylde and Wyre Clinical Commissioning Group has commissioned, so that anyone over the age of 16 living in Wyre can access it for free.
It offers a variety of features for anyone who needs it, they might be suffering from anxiety or depression or just everyday stresses. It’s completely anonymous and the site is monitored by clinically trained ‘Wall Guides’, who are online 24/7.
There’s lots to do once you set up an anonymous account on the website. You can join a ‘talkabout’ alongside fellow members to share and discuss what's on your mind, gain support and advice. You can do this with the whole community or form your own groups or have one to one chats.
You can take assessments to help you understand more about yourself and join guided support courses with others to learn how to manage everything from depression and anxiety to weight-management and stopping smoking.
You can get creative and ‘make a brick’ to express yourself and your feelings creatively through drawing or by uploading your own images, or you can simply make friends anonymously so you can give and receive support from others like you.
The website is available to use at any time, day or night from a mobile, tablet or desktop.
