Hambleton Parish Council need your help to revive Bob Williamson ParkPublished Tuesday, 01 May 2018
The council’s Together We Make a Difference team has been working with Hambleton Parish Council on the Bob Williamson Park project to secure funding to revive the pond.
Tesco’s Bags of Help are ready to support the project but Hambleton Parish Council need the help of the public to vote for their project.
Three groups in every Tesco region have been shortlisted to receive the cash award and shoppers are being invited to head along to Tesco stores to vote for their local community group.
Voting is open in Tesco stores around Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde from 1 May to 30 June 2018 and customers can cast their vote using a token given to them at the check-out in store each time they shop.
Customers shopping at express stores that don’t host the voting unit can be advised of the nearest Tesco where they can take their receipt in order to receive a token and vote.
Online customers can take their Customer Delivery Note into store and show this to a colleague in order to be given a voting token.
Following the vote, the project that received the most votes in its area will receive a grant of up to £4,000, second place receiving up to £2,000 and third place up to £1,000.
Funding is available to community groups and charities looking to fund local projects that bring benefits to communities. Anyone can nominate a project and organisations can apply online.
