Successful Wyred Up event at Fleetwood MuseumPublished Tuesday, 01 May 2018
At the latest Wyred Up event businesses learnt about the history of Fleetwood as well as networking with other businesses.
The latest Wyred Up business networking event was hosted by Fleetwood Museum. Delegates had the opportunity to learn about the history of Fleetwood as well as network with other Wyre businesses and attend a workshop on new GDPR data protection regulations presented by Forbes Solicitors.
Jane Littlewood – Chair of Wyred Up – encouraged all Cleveleys-based businesses to get involved in Cleveleys Community Team and outlined what they had been doing recently to spruce up Cleveleys town centre.
The workshop ‘GDPR is coming – are you ready?’ presented Dan Crayford of Forbes Solicitors gave delegates a great insight into what the changes in data protection laws could mean for their businesses and offered the opportunity for questions and discussion on GDPR.
“It was lovely to meet the Wyred Up business network members and raise awareness of GDPR” said Dan Crayford.
Adam Ray of Printplus Group commented “A really good and interesting event showing us what we need to learn”.
Jayne Martin of Table de Bonbons commented “I have been to several events now and always find them really useful for my business”.
“A brilliant event, it was really interesting and a good way of checking we are doing the right thing” said Carole Sweeting of Sweeting HR.
