There’s a night of fine, soulful music coming up at Marine Hall, Fleetwood this Friday as Craig Charles brings his legendary funk and soul club to the venue for the first time!
With a growing fan base on BBC radio and across the UK this night has rapidly achieved cult status, both with veterans of the scene and those new to all things funk and soul. Add to this a seaside setting beneath the Marine Hall’s famous stained glass dome and this promises to be a club night not to be missed.
There’ll be support on the night from The Haggis Horns, a 7 piece live funk extravaganza who combine heavy breakbeat funk, soul, hip-hop and afrobeat with the virtuosity of trained jazz musicians. Described by Mark Ronson as ‘The best horn section in the world’ the Haggis Horns have are at the forefront of the UK funk scene and members have performed with the likes of Jamiroquai, Amy Winehouse, Elbow, Robbie Williams, Adele and Corinne Bailey Rae to name a few!
DJ Randolph Robinson, organiser of the decade-spanning club night, "So You Got Soul?" will also be supporting on the night. Randolph Robinson is a DJ and live percussionist, specialising in funk, soul and soulful house.
