The Fylde Coast Food and Drink Festival is back!Published Thursday, 27 July 2017
The Fylde Coast Food and Drink Festival is back at Marine Hall, Fleetwood on Sunday 20 August for the fifth year running. Come along between 10am and 4pm for a delicious day out for all the family.
Entry is free and there’s loads going on. There’s everything a foodie could wish for including seafood, cheeses, chutneys, chocolates, preserves, wheat and gluten free foods, and much more. There will also be some tempting wines to try and buy, refreshing ciders, specialist coffees, traditional teas and some delicious fruity liqueurs on sale. Plus, the tastiest street food around will be cooking outside.
New for this year, we will be joined by The Food Teacher on stage throughout the day. Nutritional Therapist Katharine Tate will be doing cooking demos and talks focused on healthy eating. If you are keen to get a better understanding about how the food we eat affects our bodies, health and even how well we sleep then this is not to be missed.
There is plenty for the kids to enjoy too including fun sand art with Kids Be Happy Sand Art or why not enjoy a go at animal mask making with the RSPB? And don't forget to bring the bucket and spades for a trip to the beach afterwards!
Janet Heald, Events and Front of House Manager at Marine Hall comments, “It’s great that the food festival has grown from strength to strength and is now in its fifth year!
“We are particularly delighted this year to welcome lots of new exhibitors including Healthier Fleetwood, Fylde Coast YMCA and The Food Teacher. Whilst we all enjoy our food, and the festival is a chance to celebrate that, it’s important to remember the impact that food and drink have on our health and wellbeing. These new exhibitors will allow our visitors to pick up some tips and recipes to help maintain a healthy lifestyle.”
