The latest Wyred Up business networking event offered delegates the opportunity to participate in a Sales and Customer Service workshop.

The event also featured The Job Junction scheme from Regenda Homes and Access to Finance were on hand to advise on funding opportunities for business.

“I have enjoyed the event”  said Keith Whittle of North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce who presented the workshop. “….I love meeting new businesses and having the opportunity to pass on sales and customer service knowledge accumulated during my career working for large companies.”

Jane Littlewood, Chair of Wyred Up, outlined the new Cleveleys Community Team activities and encouraged all Cleveleys-based businesses to get involved.

“Thank you to Wyred Up for facilitating the sales and customer relations workshop. It was both stimulating and engaging and really highlighted the areas of improvement that we can apply to our business” said Peter Worthington of Builders Supplies (West Coast) Ltd.

Shaun Bennett of Links Signs and Graphics commented: “Really useful workshop, some great nuggets of information to use, especially the techniques to get past the gatekeeper.”

“The Wyred Up forum was a great opportunity for me to make a pitch about a programme called The Job Junction which will link local businesses with schools. I was overwhelmed with the positive reaction and support I received from businesses on the day and would encourage other businesses to get involved in Wyred Up in the future. Thank you Wyred Up for the invite” said Steve Newsham, Director at Regenda Homes.

Peter Murphy, Wyre Council’s Economic Development portfolio holder  commented “I was pleased to see that today’s Wyred Up was a very successful event. It was good to see new businesses attending and we will hopefully continue to grow the membership.”

New businesses are always welcome to attend Wyred Up events free as a taster before signing up for annual membership.
