It’s official! Wyre builders are some of the best in the North WestPublished Thursday, 25 May 2017
Some of Wyre’s best builders and developers were celebrated at the North West regional heat of the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Awards.
The LABC Awards, which took place on Friday 19 May at The Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester, showcase the high quality work being carried out by building and design teams who have had to deal with tough technical or construction issues and constraints they've encountered on site.
Wyre’s building control team carefully selected 11 nominees for these prestigious awards from the hundreds of schemes that it has been involved with in the past year. Nominees were chosen for going the extra mile and having a commitment to achieving quality and excellence.
Steve Lynn Builders LTD was highly commended in the Best Extension or Alteration to an Existing Home category for a property in Poulton-le-Fylde. For the other nominees, being nominated alone was a great achievement.
Maria Blundy, Head of Built Environment at Wyre Council, said: “We are delighted to have had so many quality builders through to the finals this year, and more so that one of our nominees Steve Lynn Building Contractors Ltd received a highly commended award in the most fiercely competitive category competing against more than 20 other nominees”.
The awards cover many categories of work from domestic extensions, new houses and commercial schemes, and reward excellent buildings, outstanding companies, partnerships and individuals that go the extra mile. They consider vital elements including, high levels of compliance with building regulations, outstanding craftsmanship and technical innovation.
Wyre’s building control finalists were:
Steve Lynn Builders Ltd for Fairfield, Poulton
