Tickets out now for the Wonder Stuff’s Miles and EricaPublished Wednesday, 10 May 2017
The Wonder Stuff's Miles Hunt and Erica Nockalls are touring the UK later this year in support of their third studio album and have announced a date at Thornton Little Theatre.
On Saturday 28 October, indie icon and charismatic front man of the Wonder Stuff Miles Hunt along with violinist Erica Nockalls will bring their ‘We came here to work’ tour to the venue.
Since 2006, the duo has toured the UK, Europe and the USA performing acoustic shows including tracks from their own albums in addition to Wonder Stuff material and the occasional cover version. All interspersed with Miles’ trademark inter-song banter and insight into the background behind some of the tracks being performed.
In response to being asked about the new album and tour Hunt remarked, “We decided to take the first few months of the year off from gigging, most unusual for us, to stay home to write and record a new album together. The time spent off the road allowed us to thoroughly immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the new record. Conversely the time off also refreshed our appetite for getting back on stage!”
When asked if the duo will be performing any of the old favourites alongside songs from the new release whilst on tour Hunt replied, “The plan is for us to play the newer material in the earlier part of our sets and work our way toward the better known songs by the end of the evening. It would be churlish not to, right?”
Miles and Erica will be performing at Thornton Little Theatre on Saturday 28 October at 7.30pm. Tickets are £15 and are on sale now. To book call 01253 887693 or book online here.
