Garstang walking festival
Taking place from Saturday 5 to Sunday 13 May, this year’s theme is 'moss, meadows and moorland'.
Celebrate springtime around Garstang, Rural Wyre, Forest of Bowland and the Fylde Plain.
Garstang Walking Festival takes place every year in May and is perfect for those new to walking and seasoned hikers alike. Join us for nine days of guided walks in and around Garstang and experience the best of springtime around Garstang, the Forest of Bowland, and the Fylde plain.
Discover bluebell woodlands, wildlife, upland views and local history. There are walks for all abilities throughout the week.
The festival is co-ordinated by the Friends of Garstang Walking Festival and supported by Wyre Council.

What’s on for 2018
There’s over 40 walks taking place in this year’s festival. No matter what your ability there’s something to choose from.
Highlights include the long distance ‘Knott to Tot’ three day challenge, a dog friendly springtime walk around Nicky Nook, a skyline walk along the fells of Bleasdale, an evening walk at Calder Vale, a ramble and Tramper Trek exploring Dunsop Valley and a fun session for the under 5s, plus much, much more!
Each walk is individually priced. Please refer to the 2018 booklet for all prices.
