Meeting people and having fun is important to keep mentally and physically healthy. It’s not always easy to get out and to find out what’s happening near you, but staying at home can get you down and even lead to loneliness. Have a look at what’s on near you and take the opportunity to make new friends, get active or learn a new skill.
We are lucky in Wyre to have so many beautiful parks and open spaces. Why not get out and take a stroll? There’s children’s play areas and nature trails to enjoy, picnic spots, all types of flowers and plants and much more.

Why not lease an allotment in your area? Or if you fancy trying your hand at gardening, why not pop along to Memorial Park's gardening club in Fleetwood?
As well as a weekly tea dance in Marine Hall's magnificent ballroom did you know there are all sorts of shows, events and festivals taking place at Wyre’s theatres? A trip to the theatre can be an excellent pick me up and is a great way of socialising.
