Discover Wyre's coast

When was the last time you took a closer look at Wyre's sweeping and incredibly diverse coastline?

If it's been a while you're set for a surprise. A number of different projects have transformed it for the better.

Here's a taster - just click on the pictures to find out more.

Mythic Coastline

Wyre's folklore has been brought to life through a locally inspired storybook, The Sea Swallow, plus an artwork trail along Cleveleys promenade and beach with stunning sculptures based on its characters.

Rossall Sea Defences

Following the success of the Cleveleys seafront improvements, a £64m programme is now under way to improve coastal defences at Rossall, replacing the sea wall and creating a new promenade.

Rossall Point Tower

An eyecatching observation tower serving as a beacon along the Wyre coastal trail linking Cleveleys with Fleetwood. Two viewing platforms for birdwatching and fantastic views of the Fylde Coast, the Irish Sea and across Morecambe Bay to the Lakleland fells.

Marine Hall and Gardens

Home to the best entertainment in Wyre, this magnificent theatre retains the charm and character of its 1930s art deco heritage. The gardens have also recently been refurbished and beautifully landscaped.

Five For Fleetwood

Exciting £1.5m to complete the transformation of Fleetwood's seafront, including a skate park, splash zone, improvements to Marine Lake, refurbishment of Euston Gardens and an ecology zone at Rossall.
