Heritage Open Days
Heritage Open Days is England's largest festival of history and culture, bringing together over 2,500 organisations, 5,000 events and 40,000 volunteers. Every year for four days in September, places across the country throw open their doors to celebrate their heritage, community and history. It’s your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – and it’s all FREE.
This year, Wyre is hosting a series of special activities to celebrate Heritage Open Days from Thursday 7 – Sunday 10 September. From guided walks at the iconic Mount Pavilion to discover more about the live restoration project, to tales from bygone times at Wyre Estuary Country Park, explore some of the borough's most historical and iconic buildings and places in a collection of unique tours and activities.
