Fleetwood Cemetery
Fleetwood Cemetery situated on Beach Road, Fleetwood was opened in September 1841 and is the oldest and largest cemetery in the Borough. The total area of the cemetery is 17.4 acres containing areas for Church of England, Non-Conformist and Roman Catholic interments, with special areas designated for the interment of Cremated Remains, a Baby Section and Garden of Remembrance for the scattering of ashes and more recently the Columbariums for the placing of ashes caskets.
Thanks to the National History Society we have a listing of all the memorial inscriptions from headstones sited within the older sections of the cemetery.
A map of the cemetery can be downloaded below, and there is also a map on the Chapel Wall to assist you in locating sections. However the Grounds Maintenance staff will be only too pleased to help with any query regarding locating a particular grave space. Further details can be obtained from the Bereavement Services office.
