Bereavement Services at Wyre

The council offers burials in four cemeteries within the borough. These are located at:

If you notice a problem in one of our cemeteries the please report it to us

In our very busy lives of today it is hard to find time to visit the graves of our loved ones but the beautiful surroundings of the local cemeteries is a place of rest and tranquillity that can be appreciated by everyone.

When a loved one leaves this life there are so many difficult decisions to take. However, whether it is burial or cremation you choose, there are many people who can help you in making these decisions. We are here to help with any of the following;

  • Burial or burial of cremated remains
  • Interments of cremated remains within a wall niche
  • Strewing of cremated remains within the Rose Garden of Remembrance
  • Memorial Garden of Remembrance for babies

The Cemetery Registrars based within the Civic Centre, at Poulton undertake the administration and management for the cemeteries. We aim to provide the highest maintenance standard throughout our four cemeteries and ensure that a caring, supportive and sensitive service is provided to those who are experiencing the pain of bereavement
