Concessionary Travel Scheme
Approximately 30,000 Wyre residents are enjoying FREE travel - are you one of them?
Free bus travel is available to people who are of pensionable age and eligible disabled people in Wyre.
PLUS - NoWCard holders will also be able to travel free of charge on trams in both Blackpool and Wyre.
NB Free travel is not available on long distance express bus services such as Blackpool to London. Other deals may be available; contact the relevant operator for details.
See Bus and Tram Services for links to timetables and contact information.
At what times of the day do I qualify for FREE travel with my pass?
Free off peak travel - (between 9.30am and 11.00pm Monday to Friday, all day Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays) on local bus services throughout England .
Free off peak travel on Tramcar services in Blackpool and Wyre (except special tours and excursions after 18:00 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and the October school half term during the illuminations period).
Your pass will not provide free travel before 9.30am so you would have to pay the full fare on any journeys before this time. This is because the majority of public transport users at this time of the day are commuting to school or work and the services are very busy.
What about weekends and Bank Holidays? You can use your pass anytime of the day on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Who is eligible for an English National Concession Bus Pass (NoWcard)?
